Elián Rangel Scherer

Elián (b. 2008) is a young composer and pianist from Chacala, a small fishing village on the Pacific coast of México.

Without access to concert halls or orchestras, Elian’s first encounters with music came from the natural world around him: the sound of waves, the melodies of Mexican folk songs, and the everyday rhythms of his community. These became his earliest teachers

His work draws inspiration from Mexican poetry, folk elements, and the quiet beauty of the places and people that shaped him. Through his music, he seeks not perfection, but honesty… an invitation to feel, to listen, and to remember.
